At ADDFORM we can use a Lactate test to determine when and how much lactate you are producing at given power.
A lactate test is one of the most scientific ways for you to see where your fitness is today. It will show you the power your lactate starts to increase from resting and also the point where your sustainable power is, often called FTP.
Lactate is measured from your blood over a ramp test, this just requires a small pin prick to your ear and the blood is measured on our lactate monitor whilst the ramp test is being performed. The great thing about lactate testing is you do not have to go until failure, unlike many power tests!
After the testing you will be given a report and information to help you get the best out of your training. If you want to, afterwards you can always use a coach to make the most of this information to tailor your training.
